Awful Day

Today, I just want to share this simple work from my niece. She likes to write some poems. I am really impressed that in her age she loves to  express herself in poems. That is even better than just playing or watching tv  all time. I know kids need to play with their friends and neighbors too, but I am just really happy that my niece is serious about her schooling and developing her talents and skills. I am proud of her. By the way, the title is “An awful day”

I had an awful day at school
my teacher made a fuss.
I didn’t get my homework in,
and then i miss the school bus.
A barking dog just chased me home
OH no! I’ve lost my key!
I’ll crawl in through the window
Ouch!I think i scraped my knee!
The television doesn’t work.
I can’t take anymore!
But i see that my friend
is strolling through the door
She rubs her head against my leg
and I’m no longer sad
for suddenly my awful day
is really not so bad.
