People are advised to keep the phone away from the head and use probably speaker phone or a headset. This warn against using cell phones in public places such as a bus because it exposes others to the phone’s electromagnetic fields. Cell phones emit energy– it is a type of radiation that is a form of electromagnetic radiation. Some studies are being done to see if there is a link between it and tumors of the brain and central nervous system but there is no exact explanation yet that link between the two. This is just precaution, it is up to the individual.

Posted by admin on 26th January 2010

Did you know that the earliest cookies were made in seventeenth-century in Persia (now Iran)? Which was one the first countries that produce sugar? The word cookies however come from the Dutch word koekje. It is pronounce “kook-yah” and means a little cake. The Germans called cookies keks and the Italian call them biscotti. One of the most popular cookies on the United State is the chocolate chip cookie. Most people don’t realize that it is a relatively modern cookie. Cookie is accidentally made by semisweet chocolate bars and mixed up with the dough, the chocolate mixed together with the dough resulting in all chocolate cookie. But the chocolate didn’t mixed with the dough and turn the baked cookies full of broken chocolates pieces. Thanks to Ruth Wakefield who accidentally made the cookies and she named her new creation “Toll House Cookies”.

Change to do things

Posted by admin on 25th January 2010

Life is good. Life is wonderful. We have still ups and down. That’s reality. Life is interesting, always be new and always fun. This year, we decide to step out forward and make some changes to achieved what we have plan with my wife. Last year they’re so much challenge of my life; two of my relatives pass away. We have to decide and finally confront our fears because they crippled us. Rejection, disappointment of failure we have experienced at one time of another. But all of this, I pray that may God be there and guide us to be a strong always to face trials that may come to us. I appreciated that my wife is always there beside me all along, who have a strong faith. In life, I learn many things like dealing with the things as they happened and control the situation better. In other aspects I don’t allow other people influence me, I stand for what is right and wrong. Hopefully this year we will achieve our plans in life together with my wife. Deception, disillusionment and dealing with any kind of stimulants may be tempting but will not solve any problems you face. We must always stay true to our self and honest with others. We can turn this rather confusing day into a creative turning point in our life. Stay in focus and have faith always in GOD.

Healthy drinks

Posted by admin on 8th January 2010

Soda is not really good for you. Coca-cola, Pepsi and many more are high in fructose. If you are craving sweets or refreshments, you can have the healthy alternatives. Here they are:

1. Light yogurt and fruit smoothie. Creamy and sweet, high in calcium and only 174 calories per cup.

2. Tomato juice – contains beta carotene and lycopene

3. Organic soda that doesn’t contain high fructose. I get this kind of Soda from Safeway sometimes. The brand is O- Organics. They taste really good. They are fruit-flavored soda. No caffeine at all. It is organic. But it is best to avoid any kind of soda because carbonation affects the stomach. However, carbonation and phosphoric acid in the soda can cause calcium loss in the bones.

4. Apple cider. I love apple cider.

5. Tea or coffee, unsweetened
